Summary of 2018 Annual Meeting

Neighbors,

For those who weren’t in attendance, our 2018 annual meeting was held last night.  A copy of the meeting notes have been posted on our Meeting Minutes page.  In summary:

  • Brian Foster was elected into the role of President (The role of Secretary is currently vacant)
  • Winnie Cordero was elected to serve another 2 year term in the role of Treasurer
  • Trevor Mankus was elected to serve another 2 year term in the role of At-Large
  • Dave Stevens and Michael Hartranft were elected to serve a 2 year term in the role of At-Large members

Thank you to all past board members who are no longer volunteering their time.  All of your work is very appreciated.  Please be patient as we are in the process of updating our contact information and email addresses for our new board members.

New Business – Phase I Tot-Lot (We need your help!)

One topic up for discussion last night was the future of the Phase 1 tot-lot at the entrance of our neighborhood.  As noted by many board members, the current state of the playground in this lot is inadequate and may be a cause for safety concerns.  As a result of this discussion, the Board has decided to seek additional community feedback and guidance before making any final decisions on the future of this lot.  We would like to form a volunteer committee to explore pricing and options associated with removal, repair, or replacement options.  If you are interested in participating in this committee, please contact us.

Electronic Payments

The Board voted last night to approve electronic payments as an additional option for our residents to pay their annual dues.  Residents are encouraged to continue to make their annual payments via the mailer that gets provided each year.  Online payments is an alternative method that may be used.  Once logged in, members may access our online payment system by clicking hereNote that the merchant that processes the payments has a surcharge associated each transaction.

Thank you,

The Board

Looking for a Skilled Typist

The Communications Committee is looking for a volunteer within our community who is a skilled typist.  One of our goals for 2018 is to provide the by-laws and declarations in a word-searchable format for ease of reference.  Currently, these documents are stored in a PDF file format from scanned documents.  They need to be transcribed into Microsoft Word so we can format them and load them onto our website for the community.

If you are interested in helping with this initiative, please contact the Communications Committee.

Thank you.

38-Lot Subdivision Update

Woodrow & Associates, Inc. has submitted a final plan to Richland Township for a 38-lot subdivision of the property located on the 28.6 acres at 380 Trumbauersville Road (Tax Parcel #36-013-007).  As we are an adjoining neighborhood to this property, they have notified us of the proposal submission and of the upcoming planning meeting to be held on Tuesday, December 19th, 7:00pm at the Richland Township Municipal Building located at 1328 California Road.

Sweetbriar Block Party

Join us on October 14th at 3pm for our annual Sweetbriar Neighborhood Block Party (rain date 10/21).  This year the block party will be held at the Phase 3 tot-lot.  Activities planned include music, food, lawn games, bike parade, face painting, photo station, fire pit, and a movie for the kids after sunset.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Nicole Baniak (nbaniak@outlook.com) or call/text 267-733-3418.  Admission is $25/house and the organizers are asking for help with set up/clean up as well as lending various items (tables, tents, etc).  Please see the attached flyer for full details.

NOTE: This is NOT a Sweetbriar HOA sponsored event. It is planned and organized by residents within the community.

Water & Sewer Maintenance Program

In case you weren’t aware, Bucks County Water & Sewer Authority offers a program named “$afeGuard” which is designed to help customers offset the cost of repairing the water service line and the sewer lateral line that run from the outside of their homes to the main.  Click the image below for more information.
